Specification for customer supplied artwork:
Sending Your Files: We recommend compressing your files before sending them as this not only makes the upload faster but also more reliable, important hidden files are then included automatically. The media we can accept is Iomega Zip drives, CDs/DVDs
File formats & Size: The file formats we accept include PDF format, flattened Tif (Tiff) or Jpg (Jpeg) format. If the file is sent at 300dpi resolution then in our experience the results are generally considered acceptable.
Client Proof Copy: We do send proofs of jobs prior to print.
We strongly recommend checking it carefully before declaring the design is
satisfactory to go to print.
Bleed: Understanding the need for 'Bleed' if we are going
to achieve our joint aim of an excellent finished print job. We require Bleed
to allow for the tolerance of our guillotines (the machine used for cutting
your job after printing). We recommend that elements intended to go to the
very edge of your finished job should extend 3mm beyond the edge.
Colour Matching: There are a large number of variables which
can affect the colour produced in Full Colour Printing. Simply looking at
the appearance of colours on a monitor, especially if no monitor calibration
has been carried out, is unlikely to produce predictable printed results.
Where you have a particular colour issue, for example a requirement to match
to a specific company colour or a previously printed job, this MUST be brought
to our attention at the order stage. Simply specify the colour to be matched
to.
Photographs and Graphics: Photographs should be scanned size for size at 300dpi and saved as CMYK images (the only exception to the CMYK rule is images for Hexachrome Printing which should be sent as RGB).
Sienna Design terms:
Disc & file formats: Sienna Design can accept files in a wide range of media, most common are PDF, JPEG, TIFF, GIFF, AI, RTF & EPS. Files are preferably to be sent in a PDF file format set at 100% of the required size and all file formats should have a graphic resolution of 300dpi. Files can be sent via e-mail, on CD’s / DVD’s and on zip disks.
Delivery & Payment: Delivery of work shall be accepted when tendered & there upon or, if earlier, upon notification that the work has been completed the ownership shall pass & payment will become due. We deliver to any UK address, we cannot deliver to PO Boxes or overseas addresses, including the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland. Allow Deliveries to take up to 28 days and will be made by a national carrier. Delivery is charged at £5.99 per order to each delivery address.
We aim to deliver Wedding Stationery & accessories within 14 days from the date we receive your order. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays. For security, a signature will be required on delivery. Payment must be made within 28 days of completion of job, if no payment is made within 28 days a a penalty charge will be incurred and will be added to total costs address.
Price variation: Estimates are based on designers current costs of production & unless otherwise agreed, are subject to amendment on or at any time after recognition to meet rise or fall in such costs.
Tax: The designer reserves the right to charge the amount of value added tax payable whether or not included in the estimate or invoice.
Copy & Artwork: A charge may be made to cover any additional work involved where copy or artwork supplied is not legible.
Material supplied by the customer: The designer may reject any artwork, files or any other material supplied or specified by the customer which appear to the designer to be unsuitable. Additional costs incurred if materials are found to be unsuitable during production may be charged except that if the whole or any part of such additional cost could have been avoided, but for unreasonable delay by the designer in ascertaining the unsuitability of the materials then that amount shall not be charged to the customer. Where materials are so supplied or specified to the designer, the designer will take every care to secure the best results, but accountability will not be accepted for flawed work caused by the unsuitable materials.
Proofs: proofs of all work will be submitted for customers approval and the designer shall incur no liability for error not corrected by the customer in proofs submitted.
Claims: Damage, loss or delay of goods in transit or of non-delivery must be given in writing to the designer & the carrier within 3 clear days of delivery. The designer shall not be liable in respect of any claim unless the aforementioned requirements have been compiled with except in any particular case where the customer proves that, it was not possible to comply with the requirements and advice (where required) was given and the claim made as soon as reasonably possible.
Returns: We do not accept any returns.
Liability: The designer shall not be liable for any loss to the customer arising from delay in transit not caused by the designer.
Insolvency: If the customer ceases to pay the debts in the
ordinary course of business or cannot pay the debts as they become due or
being a company is deemed to be unable to pay its debts or has a winding-up
petition issued against it or being a person commits an act of bankruptcy
or has a bankrupts petition against them, the designer without prejudice to
other remedies will:
1. Have the right to not proceed further with the job or any other work for
the customer and is entitled to charge for work already carried out, (whether
completed or not) and materials purchased for the customer, such charge to
be an immediate dept due. 2. In respect of all unpaid debts due from the customer
have a general lien on all goods and property in possession (whether worked
on or not) and shall be entitled on the expiration of 14 days notice to dispose
of such goods or property in such manner and at such price as seen fit and
apply the proceeds towards such debts.
Privacy & Security: At Sienna Design, we respect your privacy & security and are committed to maintaining it. We only use the information you provide us to administer an order. We will only contact you by telephone if there is a query regarding your order. We do not pass on your details to third parties.
